Who Are We?

My name is Judy Levine. I founded Premed Advising Services after many years on the decision-making side of the process. In medical school and in the corporate world, I sat on the other side of the table, interviewing and helping to select the best candidates. I know what it takes to be successful. My facts tend to be accurate and my opinions are unusually well informed – and I respect the difference between the two!

In my years as Director of Admissions at New York Medical College, the Office of Admissions received tens of thousands of applications. I personally reviewed more than 10,000 files, voted as a member of the Admissions Committee, interviewed hundreds of applicants, and advised dozens of rejected applicants. I welcomed opportunities to work with students and have taught career workshops and biomedical ethics classes in medical school.

I have many years of experience in career management in the corporate environment as well, with responsibility for recruiting, selecting, training, and developing talented young people.

My educational background is in psychology and counseling — BA from Vassar College, MS in genetics from Sarah Lawrence College, and a certificate in Adult Career Planning and Development from NYU.
